Camps

We now offer flexible payment options for all summer camps. At registration, you can choose to either pay in full or select our Summer Camp Payment Plan. If you choose the payment plan, 50% is due at the time of registration, with the remaining 50% automatically processed on June 15. This option allows you to secure your child’s spot while spreading out the cost.

We are committed to creating an inclusive and welcoming environment for all participants.

If your child may benefit from additional support, currently receives support at school, or would thrive with a personalized plan, we ask families to:

• Register for camp
• Complete a Participant Care Plan & Request.  Support will be confirmed by June 1^st.

Activity schedules are put together for most in-house-staffed camps. Schedules will be emailed out to registered participants a few days before camp. For the best experience and a smooth day, please review plans with your child and send them prepared with all that needed to fully participate. Please note: schedules are subject to change.

Children are to be signed in/out with a Panorama staff member each day.
Please come prepared to show identification at pick up. Children will be released to authorized personnel only (as indicated on their camper emergency form). 

If your child is 9 years or older and you are comfortable with them signing in and leaving camp without adult supervision, please inform our leaders or reception team before the camp starts. This information will be added to their account prompts. If your child will be absent from any of our programs, please notify us as soon as possible.

If symptoms develop during program, staff will use their discretion and if they feel illness has escalated or may be contagious, a guardian will be called for pick-up.

All children participating in our programs are expected to behave in a manner which ensures their own safety, along with that of  other participants, staff, volunteers, and any general public the group may share a recreation space with. General and activityspecific rules, boundaries and expectations will be explained to your children at the beginning of each week, and/or prior to the  start of new activities.

Overall, the general “Camp Rules” children will be expected to follow include:

•  Stay Safe – by following instructions given by program leaders and being responsible for their actions
• Be Respectful – in respecting others, being truthful and honest, and caring for the equipment, building and materials provided or activity sites visited.
• Trying Your Best – by being open to trying new things and participating. Give it a go!
• Have Fun!

Guardians will be notified if their child is not meeting these behavioural expectations. Children endangering their safety or that of another may be asked to leave; only returning when accommodations can be made to ensure the safety of all. 

• Food – Nutritious lunch and two snacks. Please keep in mind that our facilities are nut-aware zones, and that all lunch and snack time waste will be packed home. Campers are not permitted to use the vending machines during camp hours.
• Water – Refillable bottle filled for the day
• Backpack – For ease of carrying belongings and keeping things together
• Clothing and Personal Gear – Weather and activity-appropriate clothing. Rain or shine, we may go outdoors! Every day, include:
  • Running Shoes or Athletic Sandals
  • Hat
  • Swim Suit and Towel
  • Sunscreen – Both applied and packed for reapplication as needed
  • Medication or Medical Devices (if applicable) – ex. inhaler or Epi-Pen
  • Spare change of clothes in the event of an accident (if a consideration for your child)

Label all of your child’s belongings and clothing and ask that personal toys/games and extra spending money be left at home. 

Cell phones or other electronics should stay home or within backpacks throughout the day - only being checked at lunch or snack times if you are wishing your child to do so. 

If your child requires medication while in our care, please inform their camp leaders. Children will be asked to keep their medication with their personal belongings throughout the day; helping to avoid mishaps and/or misplacement. With parental consent, camp leaders will supervise medication is taken as required. If your child has an Epi-Pen or inhaler, please ensure camp leaders are informed first thing. It will be parent responsibility to ensure the medication makes its way to and from camp each day.

All staff are trained in first aid procedures and will assist your child based on current first aid standards. If a minor first aid event occurred during the camp day, caregivers will be notified at pick up. For major first aid events, caregivers will be notified as soon as possible

7 days notice is required for withdrawal and full-refund from any camp. Exceptions may be made in the case of injury or illness. Please contact Reception by 8:45am at info@panoramarec.bc.ca or (250) 656-7271 if your child is unable to attend camp.
