
Peninsula Recreation Commission
Overview
The Peninsula Recreation Commission is a partnership of the municipalities of Sidney, North Saanich and Central Saanich, which are located just north of Victoria, B.C. on the Saanich Peninsula. The Commission serves the 42,000 residents in these municipalities as well as the 2,400 residents of the BOḰEĆEN (Pauquachin), SȾÁUTW̱ (Tsawout), W̱JOȽEȽP (Tsartlip), and W̱SIKEM (Tseycum) First Nations. Funding for the Commission's operations comes from user fees and requisitions from the three municipalities.

Commission Activities
The Commission is comprised of elected and appointed representation from Central Saanich, North Saanich and Sidney. It is the Commission's objective to provide recreation and leisure activities and facilities to the citizens of the participating municipalities and local First Nations regardless of age, gender, religion or economic status.

Meetings
Regular meetings of the Commission take place in the boardroom at Panorama Recreation Centre at 6pm and are open to the public. Meetings are also held at the call of the Chair. Agendas and Minutes are posted for each meeting.
