Panorama Recreation, a division of the Parks, Recreation & Environmental Services business unit of the CRD, works to promote individual and community wellness by providing recreation opportunities that reflect the needs of our communities in an effective and efficient manner. 

We serve residents and visitors of the Saanich Peninsula, which includes Town of Sidney, District of North Saanich, District of Central Saanich, and BOḰEĆEN (Pauquachin), SȾÁUTW̱ (Tsawout), W̱JOȽEȽP (Tsartlip) and W̱SIKEM (Tseycum) First Nations. They are informed by comprehensive community engagement, and help guide Peninsula Recreation Commission members and staff in making informed decisions; ensuring Panorama’s delivery of recreation programs, services and facilities is done effectively, efficiently and aligning with resident needs.

Following submission and review of your application, the Coordinator of the area will contact you to set up a meeting. The intent of the meeting will be to discuss your suitability, availability and interest in volunteering, plus provide you the opportunity to ask questions about the opportunity and learn more about volunteering with Panorama Recreation. References may be contacted.

You will be contacted by the Coordinator if you are selected for a volunteer opportunity. You will be required to complete a Criminal Records Check (free of charge with presentation of a request letter that will be provided to you by Panorama Recreation). 

Once your Criminal Records Check has been processed, please notify the Coordinator.      A volunteer orientation will be arranged – and then your placement will begin!
