Victoria Native Friendship Centre (VNFC) and The Art of Reconciliation, in partnership with Panorama Recreation, will be hosting a community mosaic project. VNFC completed a call for artists and have selected Indigenous artist Dahlila Charlie to create a piece of artwork inspired by Orange Shirt Day and National Day of Truth and Reconciliation.
The created artwork will be transferred onto 64 mosaic tiles the community is invited to paint and decorate at two upcoming free workshops.
When: Wednesday, September 13, 4:30-7pm
Where: Greenglade Community Centre
Registration is required. To register, complete the form below.
Once registered, drop in anytime between 4:30-6:30pm. The length of time to complete artwork is approximately 30 minutes. One tile per registration. Adult participation required for those under 12 years.
The final image will be unveiled at a special event on September 26 at Greenglade Community Centre. Details to come.
